To affirm that the school is in crisis implies to investigate the causes of it but also to define it. The “crisis” of the school form as it was understood in the Nation - State takes place in the face of a dislocation between the imaginary of the traditional “school form” and the reality of the schools nowadays. This crisis articulates several components, since in reality it is not the school itself and by itself that crosses this situation, but it responds to a more general logic of which it is one of its manifestations. This work explores the importance of student union in schools and the youth political participation as a form of counterpower and resistance to this process of disintegration of a certain form of configuration of the school as an institution. The exercise of different forms of citizenship would open the possibility of recomposing certain relationships that make the school meaningful again and that allow it to be inhabited by new senses.
